When my husband and I got engaged, between graduating, finding a new job, and a new place to live, we only ended up with about 3 months to plan a wedding! I went online and emailed a few photographers, expecting to be told that they were booked, or waaaaay out of my budget. To my surprise, Mike Lukin wrote back and wanted to talk to discuss things. I called, and instantly, I realized I had found a gem. Mike truly cares about capturing two people as a couple. He has a gift for understanding the looks between husband and wife. He was prompt (he had travelled from Sacramento all the way to Burlingame), super friendly (all my friends/family loved him!), flexible with timing (our wedding ran behind schedule whats new?!) and is extremely talented (check out his website, youll see).During my wedding, Mike was everywhere, even when I didnt know where he was! He definitely understands how hectic weddings can get! It wasnt until I got my photos did I realize he had taken photos of my dress, my heels, and my fianc and Is wedding bands! While I was busy, he took pictures of my bridesmaids in different areas of the venue, of all my family, the dcor, food, guests, EVERYTHING!!! All his pictures are gorgeously staged in our venue, and are breathtaking. It was such a relief to look back at all of the pictures Mike took because he took pictures of things I wouldnt have even remembered to take pictures of, and Im so grateful that I have those memories to look back on!But the thing I am MOST grateful for Mike for are the pictures Mike took of my Dog. I had always envisioned my Dog to take part in my wedding. She is my very best friend in the whole world, so when my venue told me they didnt allow dogs, I was heartbroken. I got married, and it was a fantastic day, but I was sad she wasnt in any of the pictures. A few months after I got married, Mike reached out to me. He said he knew how much my Dog means to me, and offered to take wedding pictures of me in my wedding dress, my Husband in his suit, and my Dog in her bridal collar! Mike was SOOOOO wonderful with my Dog, and took the most BEAUTIFUL pictures of us!!! Mike is such a caring and generous person!! I will forever be grateful for what he did.What started out as a last-minute internet find, turned out to be one of the best decisions I ever made for my wedding. I honestly dont know how I got so lucky to find Mike. Hes so good at getting back to you, hes super professional, a very friendly guy, and his pictures are STUNNING!! Im happily married now, and cant wait to call him up again to capture all the other big milestones coming up in our lives!

Mike photographed us for our Engagement photos as well as our wedding photos. Mike was easy to contact and very organized. His password protected online gallery makes it so easy to for you and your guests to access the photos. We are beyond happy with his work and talent! He photography style is so unique yet we felt very comfortable being photographed. Hes photos tell a story and really captured the moment and our emotions. He also does amazing editing that really make the photos stunning.Our engagement photos were taken in Old Sacramento. We walked around the area finding beautiful backdrops in the most ordinary and hidden places. My husband and I have quite the height difference and Mike knew all the poses, angles, and tricks to make our pictures look balanced and beautiful. We used those photos for our save the date and invitations.Our wedding photos are also so gorgeous, we are so in love with them! Mike photographed our entire wedding, from the morning getting ready, first look, ceremony, reception, to the last dance. He was a champ working long hours and didnt miss a moment! He took wonderful candid shots really capturing our most special moments throughout the day as well as group photos and photos at each table (we had 29 tables!) making sure we had pictures with every guest! He also took artistic and detailed shots of our rings, accessories, table settings, ceremony dcor, and cake which we are so happy to have.I highly recommend Mike for all the special moments in your life.
