Joel's service was everything that my husband and I could have asked for and more. While we haven't seen the photographs yet, I know that they will be amazing. He and his wife went out of their way to make sure our day was perfect. They listened to our needs and Joel was always around to catch candid shots. Joel was definitely a highlight in our wedding - our guests are still commenting on how awesome he was actually. He and his wife are extremely professional yet make you feel that you've known them for years at the same time. Joel has a great eye and is extremely patient, even with our rowdy crowd. He sent us a couple sneak peaks within 24 hours (a perfect thing when you're just getting to your hotel room after hours of traveling for your honeymoon) and we couldn't be more excited to see the rest of his work. He made sure to always being capturing moments but he was never intrusive. And my husband loved that his glass was always full ;-) Definitely went above and beyond and we would never hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for an awesome photographer. We couldn't have been more lucky to have found Joel to capture our day for us!

I highly recommend Joel for anyone looking for affordable, beautiful, high quality, and captivating pictures. Not only did he make the shoot go smoothly, but he captured beautiful moments of our family. I was blown away by the unedited proofs while trying to choose the ones I wanted (which was pretty much all of them.) After using a ton of photographers, it doesn't get better than Joel Swonsen photography in my book. He will be our photographer for life.
