Stanford/Cal Grad: Test Prep + College Admissions

Jess graduated from Stanford University with honors, earning a B.S. in Biological Sciences and a minor in Philosophy. After graduation, he served as a clinical bioethicist at the National Institutes of Health, published research in Asian Bioethics Review, and pursued an MD at the UCSF School of Medicine. He later transitioned into education, teaching secondary school in the Bay Area while completing the M.A. and Credential in Science and Mathematics Education (MACSME) program at UC Berkeley. Since then, he has worked in college admissions as a Senior Educational Consultant at Cardinal Education and founded Crux College Consulting, where he is an independent educational consultant. Jess has received numerous honors throughout his academic and teaching career, including the Departmental Excellence in Teaching Award at Stanford University and recognition through the Medical Scholars Program at UCSF. He is passionate about teaching and committed to fostering a growth mindset in both himself and his students. Outside of work, his interests include rock climbing, meditation, technology, moral philosophy, and contract bridge, in which he was both a national and collegiate champion.
