FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Every project is handled a little differently, depending on location, size and detail level -- but for murals, 30-40 dollars a square foot is a good estimate. The price goes down as a project increases in size. Travel expense is only included for local projects.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
For most artists, for me, it wasn't really a decision. I listened to myself. Painting, drawing and making are the activities that make me feel most alive and connected to my community and landscape. They must fill my every day. On the clock and off, if I am being true to myself, I am making something. I am even quite happy making a cake!
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I paint small, medium and very large canvases and/or walls, inside and outside, for public commission and for private spaces. Most often there is a story involved. Sometimes that is merely the story of the space itself, calling upon existing design elements or aspects of a space's history and biography. Story doesn't always mean storybook. I therefore work with all kinds- business owners, city organization members, parents, teachers and other artists.
