I have been a photographer for over 7 years. I went through the photography program at New York Film Academy.
My style combines a natural journalistic style of photography that captures true moments as they're happening, style-me-pretty and classic. I'm also very vigilant and great at capturing candid moments. I know everything about the lightning and developed unique techniques to capture dancing and party scenes.
I specialize in event photography.
This is the area of photography I have mastered and I really love the idea of creating a physical memory of your most important and special moments.

Super excited and satisfied about Daria Nagovitz's Photography. I hired her via Thumbtack based on her photography on Thumbtack, her Web site and her event nightlife Facebook page. I wanted that modern, editorial look and she delivered. She captured my daughter's Sweet 16 birthday party beautifully. We hosted about 60 teenagers, boys and girls, at a hotel venue. Daria was very communicative with me in the weeks before the event by email. Evening of the event she arrived promptly on time ready to work. She was organized and worked all evening unobtrusively. Daria photographed the party decor details, the birthday girl with her friends while they were socializing, the dancing and the birthday cake presentation, and group shots, too. The pictures came out sharp and clear. After the pictures were ready days later, many of the guests were clamoring for the Sweet 16 pro photos for their social media posts. My daughter's friends were ecstatic to see such professional photography of themselves having fun together--rather than the usual cellphone pictures they take of each other. Her photography made our Sweet 16 party look even better than I expected -- like a cool, magazine layout, and now her friends want pro photography for their parties, too. Daria is a yes person, who really wants to understand what someone is looking to get out of the pictures. She did an amazing job during my graduate presentation, covering all angles, innovating, really trying to capture the moment. At the end of the presentation, she said how the light outside was so beautiful, and and wanted to take more pictures of me and my friends, a testament to her passion. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have different packages to fit your financial needs.

Standard pricing as listed on my personal website does not include any promotions, specials, or discounts.
If I'm giving a final estimate via the Thumbtack - it can't go higher. Only if additional services required after I completed the job.
My rates start from $450, which include about 2 - 2,5 hours of event coverage, all the of the essential digital gear (Canon 5D Mark III, lenses, flash, etc);
40 - 100 photos PER EACH HOUR of the shoot (depends on the dynamic of the event);
ALL photos will be edited and professionally retouched (color correction/contrast, skin problems, etc.) after 4-8 days after the event & uploaded to an online gallery (DropBox) where you can view and download the hi-res photo.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I strive to make the booking process as smooth and easy as possible.
I need to know some details about the event in advance, like is it indoors or outdoors, how many guests, if you need the additional lights for step-and-repeat area - to make sure that I have all of the necessary equipment
