Whether your company needs a part-time or temporary Controller to fill in during the absence of the accounting professional, I’m able to assist you. I’ve had over 30 years of experience in accounting. My specialty over the years has been to clean up the company's books. I’m licensed by the IRS and California for individual income tax return preparation. I provide QuickBooks (and other software’s) setup and training along with bookkeeping, accounts payable, fixed assets maintenance and payroll services. I can come to you or you can come to me and or send me the information. Most important are my fees (fixed or hourly) are reasonable and can work with most budgets. We had received a quote though Thumbtack for Broder Financial Service and I was a bit apprehensive due to the quote being so low. For the previous two years taxes I had gone with big name companies for more than twice as much and still received adjustments from the IRS for additional taxes due because for First time Buyers repayment information not being filed correctly so I decided to go with Broder. When I called for an appointment I was surprised when he set the appointment up to come to our houseâ¦so convenient. He explained that he has a day job and does taxes in the evenings and week-ends and that he was licensed by the IRS as a Tax Preparer. He also explained that by not having an office for Customers to come to he didnât have the overhead to cover thus allowing the lower fees. We had a change in our taxes this year as we were not able to claim members of our household as dependents due to them enrolling in âCovered Californiaâ. He figured out what out taxes would have been if we claimed them and without claiming them so we could see the difference in our taxes at no extra charge. I will definitely be using Broder Financial Services again next year!

Bill is very knowledgeable in his field and while he is a professional, he is also funny and kind. Bill has met with us and filed our taxes for over 19 years. Every year we look forward to our tax appointment knowing we will be able to reconnect and hang out with him. Bill started as our “tax guy” and is now our friend.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My fees are usually flat rate and not the "pizza principle" where there is a rate that is a basic rate plus lots of additional amounts based on forms, etc.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I would like to either talk, SKYPE / FaceTime or meet. We discuss what is needed, I give a quote and we get started.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelors degree in Business Administration from California Coast University. Registered Tax Return Preparer (RTRP) was granted to me by the IRS and by California with my California Returns Tax Preparer (CRTP) to prepare individual tax returns. Over 30 years in accounting at a Controller level or higher and Over 30 years with individual tax returns.
