About this pro

What do you enjoy about the work you do?

I enjoy helping people. Good people make mistakes too! And knowing that I'm out there helping others make me feel good. I've seen some of my younger clients change because of the work I do. That in itself is very gratifying and makes what I do worthwhile.

Recently I was facing a serious felony and two years state prison time, and upon hiring Jimmy Cha, he was able to get a plead to a misdemeanor with no jail time and community service at an organization of my choosing. He seriously cared about my case and was honest and assured he will do his best possible. I am very happy I chose Jimmy because he fought for me till then end to get the best possible outcome and treated me like a friend than a client. I would highly recommend Attorney Jimmy Cha.

Recently I was charged with a 2nd DUI offense with an injury to 2 chp officers. I was facing a felony with a possible 3 years sentence in state prison and racking up thousands in fines. After going to more than numerous court dates, Jimmy stayed persistent and assured me he was going to do the best he could. With that being said, he was able to reduce the felony to a misdemeanor, my fees dropped to $500, and substituted jail time for house arrest. But due to my own fault in an house arrest violation, I had to go to county which I was later released within 48 hours. I am very happy to have chosen Jimmy to represent me, because even with the relentless DA on our case he was able to get a deal that was near impossible. I respect that he was thorough and very honest with me when giving advice. He treated me better than just a client and definitely took on my case with much care. Thanks again Jimmy for everything! You’re the man!

I had several misdemeanor probation violations, failure to appears, prior pleas that included jail time, several traffic tickets, with fees amounting to over $10,000, and about 2 years of jail hanging over my head in 2 different counties. He was able to recall all my warrants and failure to appears, reduce my fees and fines, and prevent me from having probation violations. Over all a great lawyer!!!

I was being charged with a DUI with an injury. I was really on the fence about getting a lawyer due to everyone having different opinions about them when it comes to a criminal case. Not only am I glad I got a lawyer, I am glad that I chose Jimmy Cha to represent me. I have heard the horror stories others have had when it comes to lawyers, yet my experience was everything but that. Jimmy was straightforward from the get go. Never promising anything he couldn’t do, and ultimately fulfilling his goal that he set from the beginning about my case. I was looking at 6 months in county jail, due to the circumstances of my case. Not only did I not spend one day in jail, I was able to complete community service instead of jail time. The relationships Jimmy has built at North Court in Fullerton allowed him to personally speak on my behave to the district attorney and the Judge about my case. That was ultimately the deciding factor to cut me the deal I got. I would personally recommend Jimmy to represent anyone who gets into trouble, and plan to work with him again to expunge this from my record.

I contacted jimmy about a 3rd time dui and an assault and batter case that i had. i informed him that i had hired an attorney for both of my dui's in the past, and i told him that i wanted a lawyer that was going to be involved and caring for the outcome of my case. He was that and more. He contacted me weekly to let me know what is going on with my cases, and didn't stop fighting for me until i got a deal that we were both happy with. He ended getting my assault case dismissed and got me into dui court program, which kept me out of jail. i would recommend him to anyone that i know that get a dui or even a criminal case.

Awesome Attorney! I can't express how happy I am with Jimmy's representation. He kept me well informed and was very quick to return calls and address concerns or questions regarding my case. He was very assertive in the court room. My 3rd d.u.i and no jail time. The judge Even said, " I've never seen a person get a deal like this. You have a very good attorney who really went to bat for you. " Thanks Jimmy...

Great Lawyer! Although there are many lawyers out there, very few will actually get you results. Throughout the whole process he kept me informed of my situation and what I was up against. My biggest pet peeve is when people don't return my calls, however, Mr. Cha either always answered his phone or he called me back the same day. What I look for in a good lawyer is: communication & results. If you're facing any legal issues go with Jimmy Cha FOR THE WIN!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All attorneys must complete a certain amount of continuing legal education courses. I usually attend one or two DUI seminars a year, depending on how much DUI laws have changed, along with drug seminars, and any other seminars that I believe I need to educate myself on.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure the attorney you are talking to is easy to get a hold of. Talk to them, see if it seems like they are trying to rush you and just take your money. Remember, if you cannot trust your attorney, no matter what he does for you, you'll never be satisfied. Ask what the attorney's legal background is and make sure he/she exclusively practices criminal defense.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Often times, clients see us in court in front of a judge for a short period of time and think that is all we do. What clients do not see is the other 90%. In our offices, we actually read police reports, look up case law, dissect and evaluate the case, write motions, and come up with a strategy on how to handle a particular case so we will be prepared when we walk into court.
