FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
When I first moved to Los Angeles I worked at the prosecutor’s office for over a year. The entire system, without much work, is designed to place the marginalized behind bars. Defense attorneys are the only beacon of hope that those accused of a crime can look toward. I knew what my purpose in life was, and that was to start a firm that is a beacon of hope as well.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I recently had a client who was facing 10 counts of serious and violent charges. My clients actions were the result of a mental psychosis. The law enforcement who worked to stop my client felt that my client was intentionally trying to harm them. The prosecution felt pressured by law enforcement and would not budge off of prison time. I worked with licensed psychologist, court resources, and my clients family to persuade the head prosecutor to consider rehabilitative and restorative options. My client has peace in their life now and is doing very well at home with their family. The entire process for this matter took 3 months to achieve the desired results.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Stop making statements to the police! Remember, the prosecution has the burden of proof… NOT YOU!
