FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am always reading and experimenting with the newest products on the market. I am not afraid to say when something is phony, or doesn't do what it says it is supposed to do. I have found that the best techniques are the old techniques. There is a reason some products have been on the market for 30+ years. They are good, they are quality, and they do what they are supposed to do. Besides... who wants to spend 100$ on a product that does the exact same thing as a product that costs 4$. No one is wearing a Chanel logo on their face.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I am proud of every job I do. No matter how small the job is, I always give everything I have. Pictures are worth 1000 words right. And they'll always be 1000 good words.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
A lot of people think they know what goes in to being a great makeup artist, but once you get inside there is so much more that just applying make up. You need to know color theory, understand shapes and why they look the way they do in your eye AND in the eye of a camera! Those to views are completely different. Understanding Grayscale for black and white photography. So many people don't realize that when you put blue and orange together on black and white, they are the same. Then understanding your client learning how to speak their language and translate all the nuances of makeup to them. It is so important that your client trust what you are saying, and know that you understand them. Then of course the biggest of them all... being 100% completely sanitary with all of your products 100% of the time. So many never do this! I want my clients to know that I will always treat them with respect, honesty, and give 100% of my effort every time.
