FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge twice as much for a wedding as I do for house parties. Weddings are more complicated and detailed. At wedding you have to know how to run a tight schedule and have fun at the same time. I always bring out the same DJ unit and light show. At schools dances, I charge less because schools do not have that much money.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I always surf the internet to see what other DJs have to offer. I go the Guitar center and other Music stores to see the latest of all the new lights and DJ Equipment. I even go to clubs and other weddings just to pick the DJ's brain. I am always trying to learn new things.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I used to sing in bands but got tired of depending on other entertainers to show up on time. So at Misawa AFB, Japan, on 11 June 1973, I did my first DJ job.
