Introduction: The years of experience I have working with novice up to national level swimmers gives me a wide range of skills that address any swimmer's needs. I specialize in special needs students and client's that have a fear or PTSD regarding water and swimming. It is so rewarding to see a student overcome their apprehension of the water and learn how to swim. You have the convenience of having the instructor travel to the your pool.

Coach Kathy was amazing with our 4 year old grandson. She was very patient and hit it right off the bat with him. He loved the lesson and Coach Kathy. He was diving for items in his first lesson and swimming underwater after his second lesson. We couldn’t have been happier with her as a teacher for our grandson. We hope to continue lessons throughout the summer so that he will become more proficient under her excellent guidance.

Wonderful experience. Our toddler LOVED coach Kathy. We’d still be using her except we sold the house with a pool- we will have a pool again next year and I’m excited to reach out when we have It set up to coordinate swim lessons again. Great with kids, makes swimming and safety a fun game.. nothing but positive things to say

We enrolled our 6-year old grandson in lessons with Kathy in our pool every day for a week. He is absolutely loving the lessons, cannot wait for the next lesson, and has learned so much in the first three days. We love her explanations and teaching style and our grandson has remarked several times what a wonderful teacher she is! She has a great way to communicate with an active 6 year old and knows how to keep him on track. We can highly recommend Kathy as a swim teacher. She is experienced, professional, punctual, responsive and we are receiving excellent value. So glad we found her on Thumbtack!!

Kathy came over this morning for the very first time and she was amazing! She was so patient , fun and nurturing. My screaming four year old quickly warmed up to her and before I knew it was blowing bubbles and kicking everywhere around the pool. He even asked to swim with her longer. I plan on using Kathy for a very long time! =)

We have had a wonderful experience with Kathy. She has been great with both of my kids. She got my 3 year old back to being comfortable in the water after a bad experience with a local swim school. He is now not only comfortable but swimming like a fish! She also got my tentative 5 year old swimming freestyle and backstroke back and forth across the pool. We could not be happier with our experience!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
There is a base price for a 30 minute lesson. If you would like to sign up and pay for 6 lessons at the start of your lessons, there is a discount. Lessons can be set up for 30 minutes, 45 minutes, or an hour depending upon the age of the swimmer.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I would set up a single lesson, at the basic price, so you can meet me and I could meet the swimmer. There is no other obligation to sign up for more lesson if you are not happy with my service.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I continue to stay certified in CPR, First Aid, Lifeguarding, Water Safety for Swim Coaches
