FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to get in touch and ask about your musical goals :) From there in our first session I'll break down the steps needed to get you to where you'd like to be in your music journey. Ill do this by recommending different materials and handouts, and sending a weekly session recap.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been playing the piano since the age of three, got my Grade 8 Certificate in Piano from the Associated Board of the Royal School of Music (ABRSM) when I was 14 and graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s of Music in Media Composition while studying jazz and classical piano through private lessons the whole time. I was accepted to the Jazz Piano master degree program at Cal Arts after graduating CSUN but I decided to pursue being a solo artist and free lance music educator instead. I've performed as a pianist and keyboardist with many different ensembles for private and public events, and studio albums over a wide genre of styles. I teach online piano lessons and can record album ready piano/keys for jazz, hip hop, classical, rnb, funk, pop and rock music. I also run active social media accounts where I post videos of me playing piano and my songs. My highest viewed video hit 30k views and I have a few others in that range as well! I've also coached students through the highest levels of the piano exams like ABRSM and Certificate of Merit. I don't necessarily recommend this route to unless you love classical piano though!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've been playing classical piano since 3 years old, but took up learning jazz piano during my time at CSUN in 2013.
