Introduction: I have had the unique opportunity to work with dogs both one-on-one and in a pack/group setting professionally at two different doggie day care & boarding facilities. This has given me the opportunity to work hands on with dogs of various different breeds, sizes, and temperaments. This has also provided me the insight to really see what the client expects when leaving his or her beloved pet in the care of another individual. I love the opportunity that I get everyday to meet and interact with so many different dogs. Spending time with so many dogs, I see that each dog has his or her own personality and little quirks that makes them special. I also love to meet the parents of these dogs and see how their faces light up when we talk about their pets.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I grew up around animals, and always felt a connection to them. When I moved away from home for college, I quickly adopted my own dog because I missed the companionship of having a dog around the house. For work during college, I searched high and low for a job working with dogs professionally and eventually landed a spot at a local dog hotel & doggie daycare. As soon as I started my job, I knew that I needed to make working animals my career goal, because for me there is truly nothing as special. Now that I have finished my Bachelor's degree in Psychology, I am in the process of pursuing vet school.
