Introduction: Started working in cabinet shop and stall going to high school, after 4 years went to building church, on my own building Farmers Insurance Group B.C.O. 5000 sf. buildings, (52 each) across the U.S. Working with John Burgeson on Recreation building, parks, swimming pools, and lakes. Maintenance and repair retail stores, all States and Canada, I in joy meeting new clients, an seeing there need and wants are, being able to see what they want and show then what the best way to complete the project, after looking at the finish work, and knowing it is a great job and the customer in happy.

Mike installed a built in microwave above my stove and had to modify a cabinet to make it fit. It looked like it was built that way to begin with. I would recomend him for any type of handywork.! Try him and you will not be dissapointed.

I had multiple jobs performed by Mike and all seemed well at first, but unfortunately he began to take advantage of an hourly rate and began to move slowly towards completing tasks. 27 billable hours to replace maybe 10 window cranks, that in the end did not work!!! It took my new handyman 4 hours total.... Very nice guy, but the quality of work was terrible.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
As a general contractor for lot of years, we used a cost book, to find out what it would take to repair or install division of work. I can tell my client, about what it will tack to complete the job, within a couple of hours, I keep a guide book with me at all times so I could show the client what it could cost.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I read a lot of books, and ask around, look for new ways, to complete the project, find new tools out on the market, I have a two year AA Degree Architectural Interior Design, and keep up with interior design. I go to home shows, and ask other contractors how they do there Specialty work and what type of new materials they are using.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was a general contractor for a long time and work for Contraction Company on every large job some going on for 2 to 3 years at a time, and stuck in one place. I had all the equipment and tools to be a handyman, and stay in my own back yard. I like working with my hands, and meeting people. As a contractor/estimator gave me all the knowledge, I needed to be a handyman.
