I cannot rave enough about the service I received today from Aaron Massella. He was prompt to communicate and willing to come to my home immediately. Here is what happened...
The Problem: I had a random loss of power in one bedroom and the bathroom next it and the switch on my breaker box for that room was sluggish. I called up a couple different electricians, and I had my assistant get quotes from some other ones. They were all expensive and had sour attitudes. I then went to Thumbtack, and didn't love the first message I got (quote was expensive and vague), so I then read Aaron’s message. He sounded efficient so I called him up. On the phone, he was so friendly, so efficient, and talked me through the problem. He then gave him his rates clearly: one hour of troubleshooting rate, rate after troubleshooting, and emergency rate (service RIGHT NOW). I loved how clear, informative and friendly he was so I booked him for 8am this morning. He then showed up EXACTLY on time and got to work figuring it out, getting the facts, and educating me the whole time. I cannot emphasize enough how much I appreciate his education of what he was doing step by step.
The Diagnosis: a bit of plastic broke on a mini circuit breaker, and the wire had loss connection to the switch. I have an old Zinsco breaker box so if I wanted to replace the mini, I would have had to get a whole breaker box or hunt down this obsolete part. He said I most definitely don't need to get a new breaker box - we can still use the mini because, besides the bit of plastic, it's in fantastic shape, not a danger, and just needs to be reconnected. I LOVE that he said this because I hate wasting a perfectly fine breaker box and I don't want to spend money I don't need to. What a difference from the building handy man I had come in and say I should definitely get a new one just because mine is old. In the end, with education and all, he fixed it in less than 45 minutes. He even provided an extremely detailed receipt of the work he did. I ADORE DETAILS. Last amazing thing about him, he drives a truck filled with obsolete parts for people like me with very old circuit breakers. He didn't have the one I needed, but he still has a ton.
Summary: If I could, I would give Massella Electric 10 stars. I am literally in the best mood and glowing from his fantastic service. Thank you Aaron for the thorough education, reasonable price, detailed receipt, and fantastic attitude!
