Quality, efficiency, reliability, and communication are what I look for in a contractor. I care a lot about value and I have very high expectations for the outcome. And boy did DMB come through! Not only that, but surprisingly, they exceeded my expectations across the board and even put together my daughter's doll house birthday present to help me out!

I originally met Dan to quote me on my backyard reno. I did not go with DMB for the yard and frankly that's my only regret at this point...

Dan came to the house to walk through the scope of work and was incredibly helpful in terms of what to expect, how to prepare, and what I needed to do to pull everything together so they could be most effective in execution of my vision for my new home. For this first round, we did a partial kitchen, fireplace, secondary bathroom (jack & jill style) upstairs and last minute added on the powder room downstairs as well. I was quoted 3-5 weeks for the project and even with the extra work, the job was done in 5 weeks, just after Thanksgiving! Everyone I know that has construction work done complains about delays and the timeline more than anything else. I was very proud to say the timeline was definitely met and did not sacrifice quality in the least! Were there a few material delays? You bet! And some of those were 100% my fault anyway.

While DMB does not offer design services, they are knowledgeable enough about design to make solid recommendations or connect you with local (free) design services along the way.

The phrase above and beyond comes to mind thinking of DMB Builders. I am so immensely happy with the outcome and cannot wait to do the master bath next! DMB Builders has me as a customer and referral for life!

Contacted Dan because I was unsatisfied with another, bigger contracting company in Carlsbad who did our drawings and permits. A few things he does far better than any other contractors we contacted (we received quotes from several, big to small):- Dan and DMB work on smaller batches of projects at a time making you feel like the top priority. The bigger contractors made me feel like just another number in the queue.- He's has very high integrity and strong communication. If you have a problem, he hears you out on your concerns and works really hard to make it right. Before signing anything with him, he spent hours with my family and I to hear what we wanted and provided honest consultation.- They weren't the cheapest bid I received, but they did it at a great price at top quality. Additionally, Dan has a good eye for design and can offer up some suggestions on classic looks/trends with things like tile, colors, patterns and cabinetry.His team even went above and beyond to clean up our messy backyard for us which we couldn't get to cleaning because of a family member's injury. These guys are genuinely good guys, and we are completely satisfied and utterly thrilled with Dan's work. I'd recommend him to friends, family, in laws, even my boss. Our future house projects will definitely be with DMB Builders.

We recently received an estimate from DMB Builders for a kitchen and bathroomproject we were considering. Dan, our main point of contact, made the experience extremely positive. Although we ultimately decided to go in another direction, we were impressed by the team’s professionalism from start to finish. Dan’s communication was excellent, and he took the time to provide transparent and detailed explanations for each aspect of the job, including estimates. It was evident that DMB Builders takes pride in their work and values customer satisfaction.
