Hypnotherapy for Health

Introduction: Seth-Deborah Roth has been in the medical profession since 1969 when she became a registered nurse, working in oncology nursing. Soon after, she completed a year's training at a major New York teaching hospital, in a 12-suite operating room. She then worked in the operating room of a 500-bed orthopedic hospital in New York City. In 1973, she entered a Nurse Anesthetist training curriculum at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. Kings County Hospital had 3,500 beds at that time. Seth-Deborah finished her training in 1975, doing over 3,000 cases before graduating. It was during her training in anesthesia when she first witnessed the use of hypnosis for surgery. She is married to a physician who totally supports her in realizing how much the mind and body are connected. Seth-Deborah is certified hypnotherapist, certified instructor and faculty member of the National Guild of Hypnosis. She's also a member of the International Hypnosis Federation, the National Board of Certified Clinical Hypnotherapists, the American Board of Hypnosis, the International Medical and Dental Hypnosis Association, Imagery International, and the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists. She is an instructor in Medical Hypnosis at the "Hypnotherapy Center" in Oakland California. She received the 2005 "Award of Excellence" in the category of Health Care from the International Hypnosis Federation (IHF). She has been featured on the Discovery Channel's "Myth Busters" segment on hypnosis. She has special advanced hypnosis training in medical hypnosis, pain control, hypno-anesthesiology, cancer hypnosis, emergency hypnosis, HypnoBirthing®, habit control, advanced reiki, LuxMani energy work, and pediatric hypnosis. She also is a master NLP practitioner, Time Line practitioner®, and a certified Results Coach trained by Christopher Howard. She continually attends the most current seminars and workshops in order to remain on top of new information. She also utilizes and teaches EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) with each client, so they go home with tools they can use for the rest of their lives. She has presented to the National Guild of Hypnosis, the International Medical and Dental Hypnosis Association, the International Hypnosis Federation, the American Board of Hypnotherapy, the Institute for the Advanced Studies of Health World Conference, and the Dermatology Nurses Association, regarding the many uses of hypnosis in the area of health. She lectures in the hospital setting regarding medical hypnosis, including St. Rose Hospital, Seton Hospital, and the Bay Area Cancer Forum at Sutter Hospital. Seth-Deborah is also the medical hypnosis instructor at the Hypnotherapy Center in Oakland, California where she also teaches the two-day medical hypnotherapy certification training course. She often speaks on the San Franscisco radio station KEST called "Seeing Beyond" with Bonnie Colleen, regarding hypnosis in the field of health. Seth-Deborah writes a blog called "Hypnotic Health."
