- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge based on square foot, type of material chosen, and my own knowledge and experience. This industry is truly a “you get what you pay for” type. You aren’t just buying turf from some guy looking to make a buck. I been doing this longer than most guys out there and I take pride In knowing my ground is going to come out level, no bumps or dips, and that our installs come out clean, no visible seams, and the best looking synthetic lawn on your street. We provide our clients with an amazing experience.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I let them know what I charge per square foot, give an example of charging for a specified square footage, and if they are interested and know what type of investment they are looking at, I schedule and in person estimate to show them the samples of turf I offer, take accurate measurements and provide them with an estimate based on their measurements and their turf choice.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All my training and education came from hands on experience. Back when we started, it happened before the fad and popularity of turf took off. It was just consulting with our turf supplier and gaining any tips and knowledge through them, and my own ideas as time went on as to what would work, make it faster, easier without losing integrity of the install.
