I know that choosing a counselor can be a difficult task. Not every counselor is a perfect fit for every client. I believe that people who seek out therapy are some of the bravest people I have encountered. The truth is that life is challenging and full of struggles. Not everyone has had the benefit of perfect role models. I am here to help you discover your inner talents, strengths and personal power. I have had the privilege to work with a wide variety of patients -- individuals, couples, teenagers, children and families. I know I can help you too! I tend to use a mindfulness approach with most clients, incorporating cognitive behavioral techniques. I provide psycho-education often as a means of helping clients discover their inner resources. Truly, I use a wide range of interventions that are specific to each unique client. I do not believe in labels or in that counseling means you are weak. I have worked with clients who have had to manage a great deal of psychological distress in their lives. My fee is $100 per session. If you are in California, I take the following insurance plans: Blue Shield, Magellan, CHIPA, Tricare, LA Care, and Beacon. If you are out of state, I can provide services that include email, instant message, webcam sessions and phone calls. I can tailor a package, depending on your needs instead of the per session rate.
