- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, I do! And I'm glad I do because it pays off. Last year, I attended a workshop and learned about a new trend for corsages. There are lights you can add up in a corsage. The girls I made those for were so delighted with their corsages, they were the only ones who had lights on the corsage. I'm so glad I attended that workshop. New ideas are always an inspiration for more great ideas.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I always loved fresh flowers! After my children grew up (my baby's 19, my daughter 23, my oldest son 25), I decided to take evening classes on floral design. Had I known how relaxing they were going to be, I would have started earlier!
- What types of customers have you worked with?
My most common jobs are weddings. I also have requests for birthdays, funerales, engagement parties, and company holiday parties.
