Furniture Moving and Heavy Lifting
My wife and I recently found a great deal on a fridge online however, it didn’t include delivery and needed to be picked up and delivered quickly. Rod and his team responded to our post, negotiated a great deal, picked up the fridge at the sellers location and dropped off/ installed all within 2.5 hours. Rod and his team are friendly, professional and fun to work with. They even helped up move the old fridge to the garage for an additional small fee. Couldn’t have done it without them. These guys were AWESOME with positivity to spare. They moved several pieces of furniture to make room for a very heavy and old hutch from the garage to the house. These are detail oriented (cleaning up the hutch and even repairing a few broken pieces that I wasn’t aware of) and thorough guys who I would hire again in a heartbeat. Local Moving (under 50 miles)
I've been working in the property management industry for 27 years and as an onsite manager I have moved more times than I can count and I have used a moving companies for majority of my moves. Some that did a decent job and then those that were horrible. For this move, which was this supposed to start on Sunday June 23rd 2019, I had rented a truck Saturday night so it would be there and ready for the crew, of labor only movers, that were supposed to meet me Sunday morning to load and move to my new place. Sunday came and went the company I had paid a $150 deposit to were a no show. After repeatedly calling and leaving numerous messages on their cell phone I called again and got a recording telling me the number was no longer in service. Sunday late afternoon I started calling every moving company I saw on Google of course being that late on a Sunday no one was available. Monday morning now being charged extra day on the truck and day of rent I started calling companies that advertised same day appointments with no luck one even told me that I needed to give them 24-hour notice the book A same-day appointment, Can anyone tell me the logic in that one? Most of the company said they were booked for days. Tuesday came same thing Wednesday I was literally at the end of my rope. 3 days additional U-Haul fees & rent I had called honestly 50+ moving companies.Few knowing my situation told me they could do it but only after jacking up their pricing. Out of options I downloaded this app. Posted my project and immediately received several replies but all wanting to book for next day. Unfortunately I didn't have the luxury of one more day. Around 3:30 - 4:00 I received a notification from Rod. They had already worked a full day and we're working on they last appointment but they would make an exception to help me out. Rod let me know when they were finished that they needed to stop and eat but would be be there soon. They arrived at 7:45pm. Even after already working a 10hr shift they immediately assessed and dug in. They carefully wrapped all my furniture. It's amazing they were done within 1 hr. On the way to my new home we got caught on highway 52 bad traffic due to construction had narrowed it to one lane adding an additional 30 minutes drive time. Because all the other companies telking me that it was double time for DriveTime my head thinking OMG, this traffic is going to cost me $100+ When we finally arrived at my new home they quickly unloaded everything and were finished at 10:45pm. All the years that I have used moving companies I've had those that stretched out to 8 hours these guys did it in 3hrs with 1hr of that time being drive time. And because of how careful they were with my belongings for the very first time no dings scratchs bumps absolutely no damage, and it was done at lightning speed When It came time to pay I was shocked unlike all the other companies, he did not charge me double time for the DriveTime in fact he charge me the exact amount of drive time then gave me a bit of a discount. Considering these guys that already worked a full 10 hour shift they didn't cut any corners busted their butts and got it done. They were a pleasure to be around, clean-cut very respectful of not only me but my belongings. I highly highly highly recommend them and going forward they will be the only company I use. Furniture Moving and Heavy Lifting
I had several gym equipment to move from garage to a room. Since these were large, the job Required taking apart, moving, then putting them together. Most moving companies would not even consider the job, or charge a minimum of 3 hours when my estimate was 1-2 hours. Rod was very responsive on thumbtack, asked me about the equipment, and actually looked up how to videos before getting back to me with a quote. When I hired him, we agreed on a date and time, not a 4 hour window. On the day of move, he was running behind by 30 min but called me in advance so that I didnt have to wonder. Rod showed u with Diego, both were courteous. The move when very well, no damages or mess left behind. They had little bit of time till the next job, so we agreed on a side job to put up some shelving. They finished that too without any issues. - What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Typical process is client contacts me. Gives me a date, time, where they are, and where they are going. I ask ; are they completely packed, any stairs, washer/dryer? Price is calculated in that way. If the client wants the service we move forward in making it happen for them. We know relocating is stressful and we are here to alleviate that pain.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have relocated clients or myself for the better part of my life. I have worked for myself, companies , and have went through Uhaul University to make me a better mover. I also have a Bachelors Degree from SDSU in an unrelated field, which proves that I am a good learner.
