My rates: 30 minutes - $40 45 minutes - $50 60 minutes - $65
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
From the beginning the student will learn which parts of their body need to be engaged when singing. Once educated on that I start with the basics - breath and posture. Breath is the foundation of singing and can definitely prevent someone from achieving a good quality sound. Once the foundations are established, I go through simple warm ups to hear what I am working with. This helps me understand what tensions a student has that prevents freedom and strength in their voice. I give lots of examples and sing along with students in the beginning for them to feel comfortable because learning to sing can be frustrating and nerve racking. Been there :)
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Master’s and a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance, CCM certified to teach pop, hip hop, rock, worship/sacred, music theatre, R&B, gospel, rap, etc. I have extensive training with leading voice coaches and speech pathologists.
