- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As an Enrolled Agent, there are annual requirements for continuing education regarding tax preparation. Our firm is also a QuickBooks ProAdvisor and we annually have to pass a certification exam in that process.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
For a new client, we normally will make sure the accounting system chart of accounts is properly setup and the file is cleaned up and reconciled up to date first. After that we will provide the level of service based on the need and desire of the client. This varies client to client and could be as simple as a monthly reconciliation to full charge full service accounting support including payroll and tax reporting. In some cases we act as the part-time CFO for the client. It is best to say our work varies depending on our clients needs.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Our firm was called and engaged to work with a private school that was running consistent deficits. We were able to turn that school around by providing the Principal with good reports and recommendations. It was very gratifying to help a school stay open to educate children.
