FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We'll talk (consultation) and I'll create 3 sample wedding scripts which you and your fiance will read over, and decide which one you love best! Questions arise, and you have the added satisfaction that you can call. I am here to help and make your special day less stressful. Travel and filing of your completed marriage license is also included. If you need a marriage license too, I'm authorized to issue them (+150, includes all fees payable to the registrar-recorder office).
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Listening. Ask questions, followed by more listening. Hearing what a customer desires and envisions, likes and dislikes allows me to create what is truly desired. Having a strong reaction towards something, good or bad, is something as a professional, I want to provide more of, or ensure I don't do (or allow others in the wedding party or family, to do) because of the expressed wishes of the bride and groom.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked with a groom who planned most of the wedding for his bride who traveled from India the day before their wedding. The ceremony was not traditional to American standards but incorporated many cultural ceremonies important to them. It was so AWESOME, EVERYONE should have flowers and blessings thrown on them, and cheers from the guests DURING the ceremony. I've worked with a couple, whose family was against them getting married. Honoring what two people want, and not the voices of everyone else, is something an officiant should offer. A rock, strength, in the midst of challenging people. I also have many elopements (and road trips, haha!) from across the country, and we meet at their destination location (wedding & honeymoon) in California!
