FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My hourly rate for legal work is billed at $150-$200 however I can sometimes offer a flat rate if it is clear that my time spent on it will be limited. Family Law, Criminal, and Immigration issues are often a one-time flat-fee paid up front. Contingency cases require you to pay most court fees and certain costs of litigation, but the lawyer only gets paid a percentage of your recovery, if we win, typically 30%-40%.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The initial meeting is always free, whether by telephone or in person. I need to understand your situation and help you decide the best strategy. If we both want to go forward with a representation, I will draft the retainer agreement, and begin working as your attorney on your matter.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Juris Doctor, Loyola Law School admitted to California State Bar and Federal District Court in California
