Goals
Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: My name is Dave Ball, and I want to help you become who you genuinely are. I want to help you become tougher, more flexible, energized and confident in how you look and feel. I want you to become attuned to what you put in your body and how it affects your mood, energy level and performance. I can meet you almost anywhere in West LA, though I prefer Culver City. We will train outdoor so you can feel the sunshine and be one with nature. I specialize in your overall body wellness. It's not about getting ripped at the gym, but being fit, healthy and full of energy all day long. After learning about your goals, customized workout featuring cardio, resistance training, high intensity interval training focusing on proper form, alignment and core activation will be created for you. Do you offer help with a diet? Absolutely, we offer nutritional counseling and support for in-home meal preparation. How long are the personal training sessions? It's 60 minutes a session. After each session, you will rule for the rest of the day. What types of people have trained with you? I have trained all types of people from young to old. I have trained new mothers looking to get back into pre-baby shape, cyclists, people training for triathlons, as well as people who just need the motivation and structure to help themselves get into shape and healthy living. What do I need to bring to work out? You will need workout clothes, sneakers, a towel, yoga mat and water (No iced water! more on that when you get here my friend). Can I train with my friend? Of course, grab your spouse or friend and train together; the more the merrier, and you will all keep each other motivated.

Never have I ever been whipped into such svelte shape! lol This dude doesn't play, but I like that the sessions seem to move quick. Never boring. I had super achy knees and he promised me if I followed through on the exercises they would get better, and sure enough, I felt like I was in high school again! I like that he likes to train outside and he puts emphasis on stretching before and after. One of the main things that gets me up in the morning is looking forward to the stretching at the end (and how good you feel after the whole workout!). It's not easy, but he also doesn't make you literally shed tears like some other trainers I've worked with in the past. Good balance between pushing you and praising your best efforts!

I have been too many gyms and taken many classes in my 50+ years. I will tell you this class is worth getting up at 5:00 in the morning. Our instructor Dave is always on time and very welcoming. Class starts with Dave greeting every single person "by name" then he gets down to business. No two classes are ever the same. He motivates you and praises you when he sees how hard you are working. He takes the time to show you each and every exercise, corrects you if you have bad form, and does all this with genuine concern for you and did I mention he is hilarious! Funny, kind and really an all around great teacher. I would recommend this class to anyone young or old. Location great little park with plenty of street parking and the restrooms gets clean every day I'm there which is M,W,F. There are even lights for the winter months. What more is there to say other than try it you'll love it:)

Dave was a pleasure to workout with. It is hard to drag yourself out of bed before the sun comes out but his upbeat attitude made it easy to come work out. My only complaint is I would have included some different cardio exercises other than running, some days it felt like most of the workout was just a run. It was nice to have the motivation to run more than a mile warm up though!

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

Actually, I fell into when training to go on the TV show Survivor. And almost ten years later here I am!

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Find someone with whom you feel a connection. A fitness instructor is most effective when they are an integral part of your self care routine. And that can only happen with someone who you trust.
