Build Atlas Review
I hired Build Atlas to renovate my two bathrooms. The project was mostly a like-for-like renovation, including new floor tile, vanity, fixtures, shower, plus new electrical and water lines for bidets. I highly recommend Build Atlas to anyone looking to renovate their bathrooms, as not only did they deliver exactly the results I was hoping for, but they were also very friendly, communicative and professional.
Sergio took care of the administrative aspects and communication. He kept me informed on next steps, timelines, and payments. He was extremely personable and responsive. If I had any questions, he would take the time to email or speak with me on the phone. Despite being very busy, he made me feel like I was his number one priority.
For the design process, I created a Pinterest board, and Elizabeth reviewed it to generate a mood board. She perfectly captured the style I had in mind. Both Elizabeth and Sergio accompanied me when shopping for materials. They were very patient when I was selecting materials, and gave good aesthetic and practical advice. They made the process seem less overwhelming.
Leonel handled the actual construction, and I can’t say enough about the quality of his work, craftsmanship, and attention to detail. He was very transparent in his communication about any encountered issues. For example, he found a cut live wire behind the shower drywall that the previous builders had left behind before I moved in, and promptly brought it to my attention. He checked in for my approval on important details, such as the shower handle height, trim color, towel bar placement, and shower tile spacing. He also offered valuable professional insight, such as when he advised against a certain grout because it would scratch the glass tile I had chosen for my shower, and when he recommended that I use a brushed nickel shower niche trim instead of white in order to make it look more modern. The process felt very collaborative and I appreciate the fact that he checked in with me while also giving his professional opinion. He was also very friendly and approachable, so I felt comfortable going bringing up any questions or concerns.
Leonel and his construction team were very respectful and mindful of my space. They took care to cover the floor with protective coverings, set up plastic door barriers to minimize dust, and gave me a heads up before starting any potentially loud work (I sometimes work from home and occasionally have zoom meetings).
The end result was exactly what I had hoped my bathrooms would look like: clean, modern, and functional. It was an absolute pleasure working with Sergio, Leonel, Elizabeth, and the rest of the Build Atlas team, and I will definitely hire them for future projects.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Working with us is a 3 step process:
1. Explore: What’s your project all about? Where are you in the process? What’s your vision for the space? Those are some of the common questions you’ll hear from us in the exploration stage. Here we find out what your project is all about, how we fit into the puzzle, & take some preliminary measurements- all with zero commitment, & zero cost to you.
2. Compute: Let’s take those preliminary measurements & from it get you some data to work with. At this point we’ll outline a Scope of Work, an estimated timeline, & an estimated project cost. This stage is all about bringing form to your ideas. It’s also the perfect time to make any changes you want. With this data you’ll know what it takes to realize your project.
3. Build: This is where your vision comes to life- it’s time to build. We begin by breaking down our timeline into phases of construction. From the moment the first nail is placed, to final delivery, you are always kept in the loop- you’ll always know what phase we’re currently on and when it’ll be completed. Then after a final walkthrough: Project Complete.
