FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For ADU projects, custom homes, additions, remodels, SB9 units, and pretty much all the services we offer. We charge a base bid fee of $100 to review the project and prepare an initial proposal. We also offer in-depth project consulting services starting at $500+, depending on the size and complexity of the project ( some customers do not require a consultation). This includes site evaluation, planning guidance, budgeting, feasibility discussions, and project development assistance. We require an up-front agreement based upon these fees and the customer's understanding of why this is charged. If you choose Quail Mountain Builders for your project, all bids and consulting fees will be credited back toward the construction cost.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
At Quail Mountain Builders, we focus on making the construction process clear, organized, and stress-free from start to finish. Our process typically begins with an initial phone consultation to discuss the customer’s goals, budget, timeline, and project scope. From there, we schedule an on-site consultation to evaluate the property, review ideas, and identify any structural, design, or permitting considerations. For larger projects such as ADUs, additions, and remodels, we provide detailed consulting and planning services to help customers understand costs, feasibility, and project expectations before construction begins. Once the scope of work is finalized, we provide a detailed proposal outlining the work to be completed, estimated timelines, and project costs. After approval, we move into scheduling, permitting (if required), material coordination, and construction. Throughout the project, we maintain consistent communication with the homeowner and manage all phases of construction to ensure the work is completed professionally, efficiently, and according to plan. Our goal is to deliver high-quality craftsmanship while creating a smooth experience for every customer.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We have been in construction, both commercial and residential, for over 20 years. Both hands on and from an operations standpoint.
