Introduction: I’m Dave and I have been a professional calligrapher for 20+ years.
I specialize in addressing envelopes, menu boards and signage. I also do poems, lyrics, quotes, book inscriptions and anything else you can imagine.
In addition to paper I have written on rocks, volleyballs, surfboards, seashells, footballs, jeans and a globe.

Dave was a delight to work with. When I told him my husband and I were planning a musical themed wedding, he even created a new font for our invitations! We liked him so much we came back and had him do our placecards and some signage for the tables as well. He’s really easygoing and can work with you on whatever you need. And he doesn’t require a deposit either, so that was a great perk!

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Pricing for envelopes starts at $.75 per line. Pricing for place cards starts at $1.50 each. Pricing for table cards starts at $4.00 each. Pricing for Certificates/Diplomas starts at $10.00 each. Pricing for chalkboards starts at $150.00.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?It's really simple and easy. I'll need your name and number, a hard copy of the list of names and addresses (for envelopes & place cards) and the envelopes and/or place cards themselves. That's it! I don't require a down payment.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have a BFA from the University of Southern California. I was also trained by my Great Uncle who was an art teacher and calligrapher himself.
