I live downtown in an older condo, and wanted to update my kitchen, as well as my upstairs loft and staircase. I asked our property manager for a referral, and she gave me Boardwalk Construction. After seeing a few other units that they had remodeled in our development, I was impressed with the quality of workmanship, and also the satisfaction and positive feedback from the other home owners.
I met with Ed, and was impressed by his professionalism, and genuine care about my project. He was obviously very knowledgeable, and offered some great insight and recommendations, as well as a couple of items to consider which I hadn't thought about. He even found a much better/cheaper vendor for the modern-looking stainless steel + cable wire railing I wanted. When I gave them the job, Ed provided me an idea of steps and timing of the job so I knew what to expect, which was super helpful.
I can't say enough about his crew! They were so kind, and courteous of me and my home; and more importantly, incredibly skilled and clean! We did demo of some drywall in the kitchen and the ponywall upstairs, so it always is dusty, but they did their best to keep it contained, and swept up every night.
They completed my remodel as promised, and I couldn't be happier! It looks fabulous. I've even recommended them to a few neighbors who wanted to renovate. (I'm now thinking about remodeling my bathroom with them!)

I have an older attached home on a golf course, and I love the location. So when I made the decision to entirely remodel my 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom home, I asked a long-time friend for a referral and met Boardwalk Construction. It seemed a bit overwhelming for me, as the entire place was going to be gutted, and practically every square inch redone including enclosing a courtyard and replacing some big custom windows….not to mention a complete new kitchen and flooring throughout. When Ed came out, I immediately knew he was my guy. He’s no-nonsense, and has tons of experience and great ideas. He’s a problem solver with great resources and vendors. Jesus on his crew did an amazing job on the bathroom tile – it’s just beautiful. I can’t believe the transformation of my home, and I would recommend Boardwalk to anyone who wants a fair, honest, and qualify contractor. ~ Client

I got to know Craig Bortman of Boardwalk Construction a couple of years ago, when he took on the challenge of converting my 40 year old home in Corona Del Mar to a state of the art home of 2016-17. The project ended up touching essentially every wall, roofing, flooring, cabinetry, all plumbing and electricals etc. etc....
Craig managed to provide excellent balance of costs , quality and schedule. He showed great creativity and great attitude. He became a very reliable partner through this exercise. I will have no hesitation in recommending Boardwalk Construction for any one in need of major remodeling or new construction.
