We’ve tried several but had to stop for various reasons, including scheduling conflicts, teaching style, etc. A friend recommended I try Thumbtack and I am so glad I did. Jorie has been teaching my son and daughter for a year now (unfortunately most of it on Zoom) but even with that added challenge, they are doing so well. She is the perfect fit for them. They are learning so much AND having fun. It’s not the traditional sequence of songs learned that I had as a child, but that’s the point - that doesn’t always work for everyone and it wouldn’t for my kids. I want them to learn music so they can appreciate the arts and have a way to express themselves creatively. And she is helping them do that. Yes, I still have to be on top of them to practice but they love her as a teacher and I am so thankful. No reservations and my highest recommendation!!!!"See more
