My name is Michael Dashefsky I have worked as a performing arts professional for over 8+ years.
My Training:
I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre Performance from California State University Fullerton.
My Professional Experience:
I have performed as a vocalist and piano player for : Disney, Universal, Holland America Cruise Line and Princess Cruise Lines. I also sang on a Broadway Style Christmas National Tour and also performed in several regional theatre productions in Southern California. I have also worked in Chicago as an assistant music supervisor for the Beatles and Shakespeare production of As You Like it where I played piano, sang, music directed and played a character in the show. I am a member of the Actors Equity Association.

I've been taking music lessons throughout my life with a various different teachers, but Mikes lesson was probably the best I've ever had. He did really good going through the different vocal techniques and exercises. By the end there was somehow a VERY noticeable change in my singing. He also managed to put a ton of information into the lesson without making it feel rushed.

The class was incredible, and Michael is really a joy to work with, as well as knowledgeable! I had an incredible time and not only sounded better afterward but felt better when singing, too. I'm being taught how to strain less when I sing and how to expand my range, all by someone who creates a friendly, comfortable environment. The lesson was also incredibly fun, too!

I had my first lesson with Mike today and can confidently say I was very pleased. I have a gig coming up this weekend and I feel much more confident going into it now than I did before our lesson. He did an amazing job in listening for things to fix in my voice and focusing on what I wanted to fix. I really have been wanting to work on belting and he definitely got me there. I plan to continue working with him so I can get more consistent and confident in my belting as well as control it better. Thanks to Mike, I am much more confident for my next performance!
