- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My first event was for my husband's company. I kindly offered to plan their holiday party (everyone thought I was crazy). I had 200 guests in my home & I loved every second of it. Because of the enormous success, I was asked by friends to do their events. When I realized how effortless it was for me and more importantly how passionate I was about it I wanted to turn my hobby into my dream job when time permitted. My two bosses (my children) have started school and here I am.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I planned a wedding of 104 guests in 5 weeks. The wedding consisted of 12 vendors and was a huge success.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask if they are innately organized (extremely important), make sure you two 'speak the same language' (metaphorically speaking), and references are always important.
