When I decided to have a last minute wedding as opposed to eloping, Erika Harris came to my rescue. Within a matter of merely 5 weeks, she put together the wedding of my dreams. I have never planned a party and Erika held my hand from beginning to end. She found the perfect location on the sand just like I always wanted and a restaurant which served delicious food, which was of utmost importance to me. She literally was there for me every step of the way! She did all of the thinking for me, set up all appointments, was present for all meetings and communicated with all of the vendors on our behalf. We gave her our credit card and she took care of everything, which took all of the stress off of me and my groom in preparation for the biggest day of our lives. She helped me find a perfect dress for my special day, she found a Malibu villa for our friends to spend the weekend, she designed the invitations and the place cards, she helped me design my wedding cake, she booked the entertainment, she found the perfect wedding officiant, she helped us practice our vows, she organized the seating arrangements, she found us a wonderful florist, helped me with the overall design and feel of the wedding and she made sure that all vendors were paid and tipped properly for their services. I was truly impressed and amazed with her professionalism, her upbeat demeanor and her diligence! I thought to myself, I am so lucky to have Erika. She was always available anytime I needed her for advice and guidance (day or night). She responded to all of my emails in a timely fashion and made sure that I was in the loop with regard to all of the important aspects, but did not involve me in the minor details which I simply did not have the time to deal with. Needless to say, the wedding went off without a hitch. Everything was absolutely perfect...my wedding was like a fantasy. Erika was there to ensure that from the moment I stepped on the aisle (or sand) to the time we left the venue, everything ran smoothly and everyone was on schedule (from the cocktail hour, to the first dance, to the bouquet toss to the cake cutting, etc.). She nailed the decor and the overall vibe I was going for: chic and clean. It was the beach wedding of my dreams...I had a huge smile the entire night (and I have photos to prove it). The best part of it all, she stayed within our budget and kept me and my groom away from the stress associated with planning a wedding. I was shocked that someone could pull off an event of this quality and size in just 5 weeks. We had the time of our lives and have the most amazing photos and video to remember it for the rest of our lives. If you are planning a wedding, I cannot think of anyone more capable, beautiful and professional than Erika Harris. We will use her services for every major event or party we throw in the future. If you want 5 star service and execution, Erika Harris Events is the way to go!

I met Erika through a referral and used her for both my bridal shower and my baby shower 2 years later. Talk about amazing! How did you get started doing this type of work?
My first event was for my husband's company. I kindly offered to plan their holiday party (everyone thought I was crazy). I had 200 guests in my home & I loved every second of it. Because of the enormous success, I was asked by friends to do their events. When I realized how effortless it was for me and more importantly how passionate I was about it I wanted to turn my hobby into my dream job when time permitted. My two bosses (my children) have started school and here I am.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I planned a wedding of 104 guests in 5 weeks. The wedding consisted of 12 vendors and was a huge success.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask if they are innately organized (extremely important), make sure you two 'speak the same language' (metaphorically speaking), and references are always important.
