FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have 23 alternate fee structures for the right clients and case because I believe in finding solutions.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
At least 4 hours per month. What I have come to realize is older, very experienced attorneys begin to rest on their laurels. They think they know it all, they think that if the law changes, they'll be able to quickly adapt. That's exactly why they get beat. They give advice not knowing the latest happenings and trends in the law which changes every day. I want to take full advantage of them.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
As soon as I took the bankruptcy course in law school, I was hooked. When I graduated, I declined all job offers until I received an offer to work for a bankruptcy firm, that's how bad I wanted it. What hooked me was that bankruptcy courts are courts of equity, meaning they value justice over anything else -- even the plain meaning of the law. Furthermore, bankruptcy law essentially allows us to break laws in a legal way structured so that my clients receive all the benefits.
