We needed to convert a country home into an educational center for our nonprofit organization. We had a tight budget and short timeline and the final product needed to please our staff, board and clients. The biggest challenge was to come up with a style that was both welcoming and professional. Gail did an amazing job. She came in on time and on budget. At the open house, board members raved about the color scheme, flooring, lighting, furnishings and signage. Our clients feel right at home, and our staff loves the office upgrade. We’ve even rented the space to another business for a day-long event– and it worked like a charm. I highly recommend Gail as a designer and collaborator.

My project was to create a living space in a 900-square-foot warehouse with nothing but the skeleton of bathroom plumbing. I don’t know the first thing about construction or design, and for months I would go into the warehouse and get dizzy from all the decisions I knew I would have to make. Somebody recommended Gail and I asked her to come over. Right from the start she had a vision for the place. Not only was she not daunted – she was excited about it! She had renovated her own home - a 100-year-old schoolhouse - and it turned out great. She loved the idea of starting with a blank canvas. I hired her to take on the whole project as general contractor and designer. Gail designed the living area, kitchen and bathroom and hired skilled local contractors for everything from heating, plumbing, concrete and electrical to flooring, lighting and furniture. When it was time to choose things like paint colors, floors, kitchen cabinets, counters and appliances, she would give me a few carefully pre-selected choices so we could collaborate on the decisions. She also worked closely with me on the budget every step of the way, so there were no surprises. The end result is beautiful – rustic elegance at its best. And I actually ended up enjoying the process. If you have a job that needs great taste and an efficient, creative designer with a smile, definitely call Gail.
