FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1) Inquiry call: I find out what you are looking for in terms of service and answer any preliminary questions you may have. Schedule a consultation. 2) Consultation: 20 - 30 meeting to learn about your business, get a feel for your current bookkeeping situation and discuss your expectations and future goals. - While it is most helpful for me to have access to your current financial statements for the consultation, this is not necessary. - I do ask that all decision makers be present for this call 3) Since the consultation went well and it looks like we can have a beneficial relationship we will move on. I will provide you with a proposal for your review, about 2 - 3 pages detailing recommendations, services and monthly pricing for your company. I will also list here any documentation I will need from you to be able to start services 4) When you are ready to begin service, I will send an engagement letter that outlines our respective responsibilities. After acceptance and payment of services as discussed in the proposal I will begin work promptly.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worked supporting small business owners for many years, as well as receiving formal education in accounting
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have a passion for seeing small business owners succeed, my goal is to be part of the support system that helps you realize success in your business. I grew up around small business, my father ran his one man operation since the early eighties. I remember as a kid playing at a corner of his office he set-up for me, then as a new high school graduate he hired me on as his first full time employee, I learned A LOT and with someone there to help with the back-end office work he was able to grow his revenues substantially even that first year. Flash forward some years later after supporting other small businesses and attending school for accounting, I see the need for reliable and proactive bookkeepers to help with the workload business owners have to negate.
