Hello my name is Denise! I have been a makeup artist for 15 years. I worked as an artist for M.A.C Cosmetics for 12 years and 1 year with Dior beauty. I specialize in luxury bridal makeup and my years of experience have taught me to work with every skin tone, face shape and eye shape. I am also a traveling artist that’s does hair and provides white glove service so I make things as convenient and stress free as possible. I found Denise through Thumbtack. I was a little hesitant at first, but she was more than willing to meet me in person to go over the details for a wedding. We met around February, even though the wedding wasn’t until September, and she immediately put me at ease. We met at a Starbucks, and I instantly felt comfortable—she was professional, knowledgeable, and easy to connect with. Leading up to the event, we touched base a few times, and two days before the wedding she reached out again to confirm the location and time. That gave me such peace of mind, knowing she was on top of everything and I didn’t have to worry about being left hanging. On the day of, Denise arrived right on time and did an amazing job on all of us. We had a mix of ages in our group, including mature women, and she made everyone look beautiful while keeping the makeup age-appropriate. I absolutely loved my makeup and felt confident all day. Denise speaks Spanish which definitely was a plus with my mother. I will definitely be keeping Denise’s contact information for future events. I’m so glad we found each other!

Denise did a trial for my hair and makeup for my wedding anniversary party. The trial went well so then I hired her for my actual event. I was nervous to work with a pro because I never wear makeup, the last time was at my wedding. She would check in with me and give me a mirror to ask does this feel like too much makeup or not. I got tons of compliments that I was "glowing" that night. She showed me some hair inspiration too and we agreed on a simple bun in the back, that looked natural. I'd definitely work with her again! Denise was absolutely amazing for my wedding! I was so happy with my makeup and hair. My makeup stayed perfect even through a night of dancing and a lot of happy tears - I was amazed. She has so much experience and talent, and was genuinely a lovely person to chat with while sitting in the makeup chair. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is based on my level of artistry and experience. I also use all high end makeup like Chanel , Dior, M.A.C, Armani, hourglass charlotte tilbury and many more. Having an artist come to your location is a luxury experience and you have the peace of mind knowing you will be happy with your results.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I ask for pictures inspo pictures so I can have a better idea of what the client is looking for.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’ve been an artist for 16 years and worked for MAC for 10 years and Dior 1 year. I have been certified by MAC for all types of training including highlight and contouring. There are so many other like tattoo and pigmentation cover up. The list goes on. Working at MAC you do makeup for every skin shade, eye shape and ethnicity everyday! The amount of experience I have is endless.
