FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing depends upon the amount of repairs, detail, coverage areas, coats, timing, toxicity of the work area, color choices, application difficulties, weather, and other miscellaneous factors. Higher quality workmanship requires additional time as more detailed paint work requires additional attention. An approximate estimate for painting costs in southern California would range from $4 to $12 per sq. ft. depending on what's to be painted and repaired. This cost tends to include paint and supplies. In most cases that is the range in total final costs for either interior or exterior painting. The more time spent on the little details, the higher costs. A lot of information about paint costs in the internet do not reflect any of the recent changes. They are all outdated and those numbers floating around are not accurate. If you do find a person to do your job for under $4 per sq ft, it's either they are not qualified or not licensed. Moving a lot of items for paint preparation, painting on oil based products, painting cabinets and ultra high detail typically are additional line items that increase costs. Estimates are subject to change if the scope of the work changes. If additional items are added during the job, additional time will need to be added with the change order.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. Message me to schedule an on-site estimate. 2. After quoting the paint work, we would collect a 10% deposit to book a start date. Preferably by zelle 3. We collect scheduled payments as the work is completed and do a final walk thru at project completion.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a general contractor with a class B license in California. We are able to build almost any type of property with an architect.
