Introduction: Paul N. Escobar's graduate school official transcripts are available upon request. Paul N. Escobar is a Spanish graduate student/fall 2014. He has Red ID: 803-011-905. To whom it may concern: My name is Paul Escobar N. Currently, I am a graduate student of Spanish letters with an emphasis in elementary Portuguese. I am on the verge of culminating this long, academic odyssey, one that has enabled me to endure a painful learning process that has led me to forge an enlightened form of critical thinking. Nonetheless, although I wish to emulate the famed Myth of Theseus, I am convinced that I will never master the "Minotaur of Academia" completely, for the labyrinth of educational knowledge has neither end nor exit. The sole purpose of this brief catharsis is to humbly inquire if I could be considered to work as a tutor for EOP. At the present semester, I am taking two classes every Monday and Tuesday, namely SPAN 770 and ENGL 624. I have taken upper-division literature courses both in English and Spanish. In a similar area of scholastic interest, I have achieved a Bachelor of Arts degree in history. Apart from that field of study, I also majored in Spanish literature. Consequently, I eventually graduated in the year of 2006 with a respective Bachelor of Arts degree in each of the two spheres of education, namely history and Spanish. Regarding a professional aspect, I have tutored in English, Spanish, language arts, history, grammar, essay composition, linguistics, and reading. Furthermore, I have prepared high school students with the CAHSEE (California High School Exit Examination) material, apart from Spanish AP exams as well. Moreover, I have worked as a private tutor in the area where I grew up, namely in the city of Hanford, CA. I have worked as a tutor for various programs including the following: * ABC Phonetic Reading School * Club Z! Tutoring Services (Private and Public) * Disabled Student Program Services (DSPS) at Imperial Valley College * AmeriCorps Community Service Program On the other hand, I have taught four Spanish lower-division courses/classes as a teaching assistant here at SDSU, specifically Spanish 101, 102, and two classes of intermediate Spanish (201). My area of experience also encompasses the act of translation from English to Spanish and vice versa with Dr. Donna Castaneda, associate professor of psychology at SDSU/Imperial Valley Campus. Finally, I received a study-abroad scholarship as an undergraduate student of history and spent a semester in the province of Andalusia (Spain). I hope that all the academic and professional background that precedes my journey will allow me to contribute to the educational experience of all the students who appeal for academic assistance to your academy's tutoring services. I am currently looking for a job. Consequently, I would fervently like to become part of your tutoring list, if I happen to be considered as a latent and possible candidate. I thank you beforehand for the time you took in order to read this message. I have already attached my resume and letters of recommendation to this current email. May you have a good day. Sincerely, Paul N. Escobar
