The fireplace originally had painted brick with old black (not an even placement) and 12x12 tile on the hearth. I had already removed the tile, and he came out within about 48 hours to look at the project, explain the process, and give us a quote. We agreed to move forward the next day, and he got us on the schedule quickly. I’ll be honest—I almost skipped this project because we were already over budget, and our new floors had already been installed, so I was really nervous about making a mess. I didn’t need to worry. He was incredibly careful, kept everything clean, and did a great job leveling the old brick and step area. He came back the another day right on time to apply the final coats and smooth finish. The fireplace is still drying, so the color may lighten a bit, but I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. It completely transformed the space and was worth every penny. If you’re thinking about giving your fireplace a facelift, I would absolutely recommend hiring him. Professional, on time, clean, and the finished product looks fantastic."See more

My condo is 1200 sq ft (3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms) and needed much love. He came to do an onsite visit, provided me with his pricing, and then started and ended as planned. Stephanie J. says, "Ramirez exceeded my expectations. I accidentally spilled acetone on our wood table and ruined the finish on one of the leafs. I knew I didn't have the skills to fix it myself, but I didn't want to spend a ton of money on it either. I reached out to a few pros via Thumbtack and Task Rabbit. Ramirez was the first to respond and offered to come over and give an estimate for free. He came that same day, explained exactly what he would do and how long it would take, and gave the best price by a long-shot. When it came to be the day of our service, he showed up on time and got to work. He was very polite, non-intrusive, and task-oriented, so I felt comfortable having him work in the back when I was the only one home. He sanded the damaged leaf and lightly sanded the other leaves to make sure the table was even. He had brought a color that he thought would work but, after matching it to the undamaged parts of the table, he decided to go and purchase a better match. The end result made the table look brand new. He did a fantastic job and was sure to give me a few pointers before he left (i.e. how long I should wait before setting anything on the table). On his way out, I asked him how much it would cost to have him come back and repair some damaged stucco on the exterior of the house. (We had family over and one of them clipped the corner of the house with their car, which damaged the stucco and paint.) He said that it was an easy fix, got his tools, and did it before he left for free. He even helped me find the paint in the garage since I wasn't quite sure which one it was. Great service.
