- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
If you plan to provide the envelopes, you’ll need to cover the shipping costs to me. Additionally, you should provide 20% more envelopes than the guest count. This extra quantity will account for any ink mistakes or last-minute additions. If you need me to provide the envelopes, I will add the cost to your final invoice. Payment schedule: - 50% booking fee. - Balance before project completion & shipping. Notes: - 100% booking fee in orders of $200 or less. - Rush fee (within 2 weeks of event) - 100% of amount.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
This is my step by step: 1. Initial Consultation - Discuss the event type - Review the client’s vision — style preferences, ink color, envelope color, and any design flourishes. - Share samples of my calligraphy styles (Modern, Copperplate, etc.) so they can choose one. 2. Quotation & Agreement - Provide a detailed quote based on quantity, style complexity, and turnaround time. Include policies for errors, extra envelopes, and shipping. - Once approved, send a contract and deposit invoice. 3. Materials & Preparation - Ask the client to supply 20% extra envelopes - Request the address list in a specific format. - Test ink and paper compatibility before starting the full batch. 4. Proof & Approval - Create a few sample envelopes for approval 5. Production - Address envelopes in batches. - Handle envelopes carefully to avoid smudging or bending. 6. Quality Check & Delivery - Review each envelope for accuracy and presentation. - Package them neatly and deliver or ship according to the client’s preference. 7. Follow-Up - Check in after delivery to ensure satisfaction.

In general, my background includes a Modern and Copperplate Calligraphy styles complemented by hands-on and address etiquette courses with traditional and expert calligraphers. This combination of formal study and mentorship has shaped my distinctive style, blending classical precision with modern expression.
