FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
At BuildWise Builders, our pricing is transparent, detailed, and tailored to the specific scope of each project. We provide clear written estimates that outline materials, labor, timelines, and any optional upgrades so you always know exactly what you're paying for. We do not believe in surprise fees — any changes are discussed and approved before work proceeds. We also offer value-engineering options to help clients stay within budget without sacrificing quality. For larger projects, we can provide phased budgeting and milestone-based payments to keep the process comfortable and predictable.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our approach is designed to be smooth, collaborative, and well-organized: Initial Consultation — We learn about your goals, budget, timeline, and vision. Site Visit & Assessment — We review the space, take measurements, and discuss feasibility. Design & Planning — If needed, we provide design support, drawings, and recommendations. Detailed Proposal — You receive a clear scope of work with transparent pricing. Permitting (if required) — Our team handles all necessary permits and inspections. Construction Phase — We manage every detail, coordinate trades, and keep you updated. Final Walkthrough — We confirm everything meets expectations and address final details. Throughout the project, you'll have a dedicated point of contact for communication, updates, and scheduling. Our goal is a seamless experience from concept to completion.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our team brings years of experience in construction management, design-build coordination, and hands-on craftsmanship. We are fully licensed and insured in the State of California and stay current with building codes, ADU regulations, energy requirements, and permitting standards. In addition, our leadership has extensive background in owner’s representation, quality control, and construction oversight, which gives us a higher level of discipline and project management expertise compared to the typical contractor.
