About
Hello! I'm a photographer in Irvine, California, with a small home-based studio. I've been a photographer for 20+ years and have done portraits and studio shoots for the last 4 years as a side-business. I specialize in making my subjects feel comfortable, even if they do not typically like to have their photos taken. I take portraits in a variety of styles, business and professional headshots, fashion and swimwear, boudoir and content-creator images, and special events. I welcome my LGBTQ+ community.

I wanted some photos of the volleyball league I help organize and Garage Studio OC did an amazing job of capturing both candid portraits and action shots of league play. It’s really hard to get a perfectly framed shot of someone spiking the ball or getting a nice dig but he managed to do it! He was able to adjust for the lighting of the harsh sun but also get really clear shots. They really captured the spirit of the league and were great for publicizing what our league was about and attract new members as well as just capturing the moment as a souvenir for our members.

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I use fixed pricing when arranging a shoot and guarantee the quality of the images. I do not offer discounts, but I do often offer special packages.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I try to get to know the client and their needs before the shoot over text or phone. As we begin the shoot, I try to set the client at ease as the camera can be a little intimidating at first. I prefer a natural style of posing and will provide tips and guidance to help the client find a relaxed, confident, natural pose. During the shoot, clients will be able to see the images as I take them and we will go through and select some of the top images together. I provide clients with a web link to select final images and make them available for download after retouching. Images are typically delivered between 2 and 7 days depending on the scope of the shoot.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 20 years of experience with film and digital photography. Mentors have included portrait photographers Daniel Norton and William Haynes, as well as fine art photographer Gordon Hutchings.
