My name is Greg Akahoshi and I've been a chef for 27 years. I cook from the heart and nothing makes me happier than sharing my love for food with others. I only purchase premium ingredients because a delicious memory starts with memorable ingredients. I've had the honor of being a Chef at Wolfgang Puck Catering at the NBC studios and the Senior Sous Chef for Antonia Lofaso at her restaurant DAMA in DTLA. I'm also the Sous Chef for Jet Tila. My sisters and I were looking for a private chef to surprise my dad for his 59th birthday this past weekend. This was our first time using Thumbtack and we are so glad that we found Greg through this platform!
From the start, Greg was very responsive and we were able to chat and discuss different menu ideas for my dad, who is a very picky eater. Greg was very accommodating of the different food preferences for our family, and also offered a very reasonable price for the menu that he served.
On the day of, Greg showed up on time and served up delicious food for our family. Greg was very insightful and interactive during the meal. He is very excited for you to try his food and loves seeing reactions. He also checked in often during the meal and his passion was clear as he chatted with us.
