It was two weeks before prom and my boyfriend and I had no idea who would take our pictures. I was panicking in particular because I really wanted the pictures to be special and I didn't think any photographer would be available last minute. After looking on Yelp, I came across Thumbtack, filled out the survey for an event photographer, and I was given multiple options for last minute photographers at a reasonable price. I took a leap of faith and chose this wonderful couple, and boy, am I so happy that I did. Kim and Ron were very easy to work with. Kim called maybe a week beforehand to confirm the details with me. When we arrived to the place where we'd take our pictures, Kim and Ron had plenty of ideas and they made the photoshoot such a wonderful experience! My boyfriend is honestly so photogenic, but I am camera shy and felt very insecure in front of a camera. But Kim and Ron made me feel confident and claimed the shots were beautiful! And they are! We are so happy with our pictures and the service they provided. They captured beautiful moments and eternalized the love that I want to remember for years to come. Would definitely hire them again.

I cannot say enough wonderful praise for our experience with Kim and Ron and the GORGEOUS photos they captured for us of my son and his girlfriend for their Prom!! They exceeded ALL of our expectations and gave us SUCH amazing variety of beautiful shots to choose from that I simply can't just choose a few to print and frame; I will have to make a photo album with all of the stunning images that they captured of this sweet and quintessential high school moment. We hired Kim and Ron for a simple one-hour shoot before my son's Prom, but the photos they captured in that one hour look like they spent all afternoon with my son and his date!! They are a young husband and wife team who have a great, easy, and happy rapport with each other and with their subjects, immediately putting the two young Prom-goers at ease. We shot at the nearby historic Rancho Los Cerritos in Long Beach, and Kim and Ron took my son and his date to SO many different spots within the rancho to give so much diversity of shots for our shoot. When I saw the angles, lighting, and the beauty of the moments that they captured, I was BLOWN AWAY, and I was a professional model for 25 years, so I know lighting and good photography!! They made my son and his date, who are both quiet and peaceful human beings, look like confident, professional models, and they truly captured their inner and outer beauty, as well as the sweetness and loveliness of their Prom night. Also, when Kim was communicating with my son's date during the hiring process, Kim conveyed to her that she considered their Prom as an event to be handled with joy, creativity, and thoughtfulness, giving it the creative consideration and seriousness that she knew it deserved. The words she spoke to my son's date, saying that she understands that Prom is such a joyful moment in one's life to be treasured and documented with beautiful photos to have forever, impressed me so much, since some photographers may not take Prom as a serious assignment simply because the clients are high schoolers. It was because of this warmth that Kim conveyed to my son's girlfriend, in addition to their photo gallery, that they were hired with our confidence that they would delight in the shoot as much as all of us did. And they did!! Kim and Ron were not only professional, but they were a presence of light and joy!! They are a part of our happy memories of Prom Night for my son and his girlfriend, and I am beyond grateful to them for capturing the moment with such magic. FAQs

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
This depends on what the expectations are. For example, A typical shoot for engagement can last up to 5 hours for us. We want to give you options. We do not charge by the hour, or photo. We set flat rates upon agreement. We throw in "freebees", extra edits that we thought were great photos etc.We do not watermark anything that is for the clients use- strictly only for our display purposes. We do not allow any outsiders to view our work, or get their hands on our images. We're reliable, and respectful.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Reviewing all wants, and needs for the arrangement of your choice. Free to contact anytime there is a change in schedule. Helpful with creativity, or photo shoot destinations around southern CA. Also experienced in wedding coordinating to create timelines, or color coordinating.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Degree in photography from SHAW academy. Certifications in photoshop. Experience shown in work portfolio online to review. Interior designer for 5 years with an eye for beauty in everything.
