FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, I renew my Notary Public education every four years, my Alcohol and Drug Counseling (CAADE) every two years and my Small Business education as often as I can come across it. In fact if you are a small business owner the U.S. Small Business Administration offers free education and it is great.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I worked for the U.S. Marshal Service as a contract employee when I became disabled. I am not the kind of person to give in to my situation and I became an Instructor at a private college and when it closed someone suggested that I become a Notary Public and from there it has just grown into all the services I offer. In 2010 I was diagnosed with cancer and it just makes my day when I can help someone else.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Most common jobs can really vary: Document preparation, Unclaimed Property retrieval, Notarizations, FAFSA preparations (free to local HS students), research, teaching and training to become a CA Notary Public, Loan Signer, Small Business Consulting...I wear many hats.
