FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I got a sales letter in the mail which said "If you can write letters like this, you can make $300,000...just buy our course." The only people making $300,000 a year are the people selling that course, but it got me hooked on the idea of freelance writing. That lead to consulting with my writing clients and providing marketing services for them. I picked up website design along the day and I allow my marketing chops to inform my website design.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked mostly with professional service providers: lawyers, dentists, chiropractors, lenders. I have also worked for a couple of universities.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I was working with a family law office and they needed a new source of clients. I proposed driving facebook traffic to a free report on "How to Win Your Child Custody Case." I wrote the report and set up their facebook ad campaign and within a week, they received 800 additional visits on their web page, built an opt-in email list for the first time, and started getting clients from the campaign.
