Introduction: Not many music teachers, especially harp teachers, can teach both sight-reading/music theory AND improvisation. Usually musicians are taught by one method and the other one if avoided. In turn, they become proficient at one or the other. I teach both to my students so they can have the creative freedom and joy of improvisation coupled with the technical skill and logical mastery of reading music. This way, you can explore the full range of musical experience with ease and fun!
I love watching my students transform into confident musicians who love what they do. I also love teaching people the skills that they require to become the musicians they seek to be, which has an impact on the rest of their lives and boosts their sense of joy.
