It is my pleasure to recommend without reservation, Leanne Madler and Matilda Bos Designs. I have been working with Leanne since 2010 when we rennovated a 1970s era bedroom. she has since designed almost every room in my small Mill Valley home.
There are several important things anyone considering Leanne should know. Leanne listens carefully to her clients. She does not enter into a space with a preconceived design agenda. She spends time listening to her client's needs and tastes. And she is able to translate from nondesign language. I am not very good at seeing a room in terms of color and furniture, but I am very good at explaining the kind of "feeling" I want for a room. Leanne was exceptional in translating that "feeling" into color and design.
Leanne is very respectful and responsible about her client's budget limitations. If a particular piece was too expensive, she came up with very good alternatives. She also was upfront about her billing and all of the vendors she engaged.
Leanne keeps her clients in constant communication, explaining when items are scheduled to arrive, explaining delays and following up. She keeps meticulous records of everything.
Leanne looks in out of the ordinary places for just the right pieces. Who knew that my perfect livingroom table would come from a garden shop, and my beautiful lamp would come from a small lamp repair store. And her attention to no-detail-too-small is exceptional. I needed a place for dog leashes, bags, and harnesses. Leanne suggested behind the front door, and then found drapery tie backs instead of hooks in just the right color and size and then suggested a handyman to install them.
To say that Leanne goes the extra mile is an understatement. Anyone who engages her will be delighted with her work, her dedication to detail, her ethics, and her warm, engaging personality. We look forward to working with her on projects for years to come.

I highly recommend Matilda Bos Design Studio and Leanne Madler. She created a beautiful environment for me, twice. The first time she worked with me to achieve EXACTLY what I needed, a timeless environment within my budget. It was so wonderful, I asked her to come back the following year to address my master bedroom and bath. Both times she was professional, creative, and listened to what I wanted, even when I wasn't sure what that was. I enthusiastically recommend her.

I moved in to my house the day before I unexpectedly gave birth. I didn't have any living or dining room furniture and no eye for design. Leanne saved me- she quickly helped me choose furniture all while staying well within our limited budget. Leanne understood exactly the style we were looking for and made it happen. I recommend her to everyone!

I had an amazing experience with Leanne from Matilda Bos Design Studio. She assisted me in redesigning a new home creating beautiful vignettes while utilizing furnishings from my first home. New spaces were established by mixing and changing combinations of the furnishings so that my new home feels fresh and original. Leanne was able to accomplished this in a very short period of time and from another state! Leanne has a keen eye for detail while combining color, textures and various styles of furnishings and creating comfortable and beautiful living spaces.
I will always use Leanne in any new project and recommend her with great confidence and pride.
