- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I am not the cheapest attorney, but also far from the most expensive. It's important to remember attorneys are not commodities, in other words, depending on the complexity of the case, the quality of the attorney will make a difference in the result. Thus, it is not always the wisest to go with the cheapest option.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was an elementary school teacher and one of my favorite student's mother was apprehended by ICE. I saw first hand the devastating impact the familt separation had my student.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
In this profession, we see a lot of people in desperate situations. When interviewing an attorney, you should not just listen to what the attorney says s/he can do for you, but you should ask how it will be done. If the answer is unclear, chances are that attorney will not be able to handle the case.
